Refugee mentoring has been a long-time volunteer opportunity with BHITC. As part of it, newly arriving refugee families are paired with local citizens to help them through cultural adjustments and most importantly, build friendships. Once again BHITC is offering Refugee 101 Class as an introduction to volunteers who are interested in becoming mentors. Visit www.buildinghopeinthecity.org to register. For more information contact Martha Exoo.
