Family Communion Workshop

Families! If your child(ren) have not taken communion and/or you would like to learn more about this sacrament, join us for the Family Communion Workshop. There is no age limit- just come and learn together about the Lord’s Supper!

Parent training will be held on August 4th during both service hours in W211; the family portion will be held on August 11th beginning at 6:00 pm in Lakeview Hall, and will include a simple dinner.

After the workshop, you will be able to discern your child(ren)’s readiness. We will be offering an opportunity for not only our individual families, but also our greater church family to come together for communion during our Family Communion Sunday on September 1st .

Registration fee is $15/family.

Childcare is available for children under six years of age. An email about childcare will go out after you register for the event.

Family Communion Sunday

We all have something to learn when it comes to worship. Children learn what it means to worship by watching their parents and adults in church. Mature Christians learn to have the faith of a child when they see children respond to the Gospel. As a church that says that we value families, this is an important part of our identity. That's why we come together for our Family Communion Sundays. We foster experiences for our kids to worship with us, and in the process we learn with them. Our next Family Communion Sunday is coming up next week (February 17th), and it's a time when our Children's Ministry takes a break so that you can bring your kids with you to worship. It's a blessing to our church to bring all ages together for these special services and we want you all to join us on the 17th, no matter how old or young you are. We'll sing together, learn from each other, share Communion together, and we'll grow in our faith as a church family.
