Refuge Garden (an organic community garden sponsored by Ephraim House) is filled with tons of fertile, organic topsoil—created almost entirely from free wood chips delivered by tree service professionals. This free (and extremely valuable!) resource needs to be stored in a more systemized, attractive way. This project would entail building a large repository, using pallet wood and other recycled materials to be able to store this material. We’re not building a house, (no foundation or concrete necessary), but folks should know how use a drill, a saw, cut up a pallets, etc.
We need 8 volunteers to work from 9:00am to 3:00pm on July 27th (adults only due to liability or skill levels required). If this sounds like an ideal project for you, register today using the button below. Contact Stephen Piscura (440.465.2391) with questions.
