 n addition to being the abbreviation for Bay Presbyterian Church, the letters “BPC” hold another cherished meaning for us: “Boldly Proclaiming Christ”! Various members of this church have joined, led and, in many cases, initiated Christ-centered ministries within the West Shore suburbs and far beyond. This “centered and sent” outlook is reflected in BPC’s current mission, vision and call statements:
MISSION
To honor and serve Jesus Christ the Living Lord by calling people to a commitment to Christ, to the body of Christ, and to the work of Christ in the world.
VISION
We are, and we are seeking more fully and faithfully to become:
- An inviting church;
- Centered on Christ;
- Obedient to Christ through the Scriptures;
- Nurtured, discipled and equipped for ministry and mission in small groups;
- Gathered in worship;
- Scattered in service and witness;
- Sharing in a mission that is transforming our lives, our relationships, our community, our city, our nation, and the world, for all eternity!
CALL
To fulfill the Great Commission by raising up and partnering with congregations on the west side of Cleveland who share in the passion of being Christ’s instrument of transformation in Northeast Ohio.
In support of this mission, BPC has adopted three strategies:
- To passionately express our love of God and commitment to be His instruments of transformation in Northeast Ohio;
- To become a disciple-making community;
- To become a partnering/planting church.
