January 2009 will begin our 9th year of partnership with Calvary Reformed Church. BPC has been humbled to walk alongside this sister congregation in the city as together we conduct Kids Church and Youth Church. Kids Church was launched in January 2001 in collaboration with The Isaiah Project. BPC continues to provide leaders who evangelize, disciple, worship and pray with our friends at Calvary Reformed Church and together extend the love of Christ to the children and youth from the W. 65th neighborhood where Calvary is located.
This Sunday, September 14, Gail Tanner will be sharing in each of the three services a little about this partnership and some of the stories that show how God is continuing to move as we work together to make a difference in this urban congregation and in the lives of many of the children, youth and families who call the W. 65th neighborhood their homes.
What is Happening at Kids Church & Youth Church?
Hundreds of children and teens accepting Christ. Hundreds of prayers said on their behalf. Presents at Christmas, their birthdays, and school supplies at the start of each school year. Dynamic and energizing Saturday worship. Learning worship songs with motions and dance moves. Encouraging studies in God’s Word. Receiving a home visit by a leader each week.
Relational ministry that touches your heart and the hearts of those God calls you to journey with. Huge victories for Christ. Defeats that cause you to walk by faith. Seeing those you disciple become disciples while growing as a disciple yourself. Encouraging your sisters and brothers in Christ to pray, visit, buy gifts, and hear the stories. Watching Christ grow leaders in the church in the city you serve.
This and so much more is the Calvary Reformed Church - Bay Presbyterian Church Partnership.

Kids Church and Youth Church at Calvary Reformed Church was BPC’s first site for this ministry which later evolved into The Isaiah Project (TIP), led by Dana Edman Carpenter. Ms. Carpenter was BPC’s first urban missionary, and as a result of the tremendous growth that TIP has experienced, this ministry has been launched this year to create a broader base of support and potential for Kingdom impact. At the end of July, TIP was officially granted 501c3 status as a charitable non-profit organization. The Isaiah Project has planted over 13 Kids Churches in Cleveland, Akron, and Cincinnati, as well as 2 in Cali, Colombia, and another 13 in orphanages in Liberia. Calvary is BPC’s designated partner for this ministry. For further information on TIP, contact Dana Carpenter at 216-941-5778 or dana.carpenter@sbcglobal.net
