Special Needs Ministry

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work:  If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!  Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.  But how can one keep warm alone?  Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.  A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”  Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Welcome from the Special Needs Ministry at Bay Presbyterian Church.  We are one of the 12% of churches nationwide to have a formal Special Needs Ministry. We believe that every child should belong to a family of faith and that all children are children of God.

We seek to provide a Christian education for all children with special needs in the least restrictive and most inclusive environment.

We provide:

  • Volunteer training for our small group leaders
  • One on one buddies (as needed) to support children in our preschool or elementary ministry environment
  • Individualized Christian education for those who require a less stimulating environment

Many of the families with special needs children have formed support groups for each other outside of the church worship services, where they can share the ups and downs of family life.

Please contact , (or 440.871.1503 X112) director of Special Needs Ministry prior to your Sunday morning visit so we can best meet the needs of your child.

Additional support and information can be obtained from Key Ministry Foundation.
