Joel's Place for Children provides a safe, structured atmosphere of acceptance for expression of grief by school-age children. We offer an environment of hope for the future and a place to share and to honor the lost loved one. It is a non-denominational group.
Mary Willhite, L.S.W. and Kathy Stellato, R.N. are certified bereavement facilitators. They have 20 years experience working in the area of bereavement through evening and school programs and are passionate in their mission to bring grief services to children.
While your children are participating in a group we are committed to providing a safe environment. All sessions are facilitated by two adults, all sessions are confidential, and references are provided upon request.
The support group meets every other Tuesday, beginning September 16 at Bay Presbyterian Church, from 7-8:30 p.m. in Room E200.
