Bay Food Ministry began in 1989 as a food pantry to serve those residents of Bay Village and members of BPC who meet the income guidelines for Hunger Centers of Greater Cleveland.
It is supported by a once a year city-wide food drive organized by the Bay High Key Club, continuing donations of food and money throughout the year by BPC members, and money donated by St. Raphael’s to purchase perishable and non-perishable food.
Families are provided a generous three day supply of food, both canned and fresh, usually on the last Friday of the month.
Referrals come from the Director of Community Services of Bay Village, the social worker at the Knickerbocker Senior Apartments in Bay Village, and members and staff of Bay Presbyterian Church.
