All Praise to the Lord!

It is with great joy and gratitude that we report that the Presbytery of the Western Reserve has approved dismissal of Bay Presbyterian Church to the Evangelical Presbyterian Church through the New Wineskins Presbytery.

Commissioners of PWR approved the dismissal at the Presbytery meeting in Valley Presbyterian Church tonight by a vote of 135 For, 13 Against, 8 Abstained. Dismissal is expected to be official June 1, 2008, pending the signing of a definitive agreement. Terms of the covenant are the same as those we reported at Sunday worship on May 25; click here to read it.

We sincerely appreciate the action taken by the Presbytery commissioners and spirit of cooperation that led to this agreement. It is a tremendous testimony to the movement of God to bring people of faith together.

We will likely be sharing more about this evening’s meeting with you and look forward to our new relationship with the Evangelical Presbyterian Church with great joy and anticipation.
