Our Sunday morning ministry to elementary children
Ministry with elementary children takes place on Sunday mornings upstairs in the East Wing. We call this cool place for kids Upstreet in Power Zone. Upstreet emphasizes worship, large group teaching and small group fellowship - all reinforcing a Biblical virtue each month. Virtues, as we tell the kids, are what God does in you to change you and the world around you. Some of the Biblical virtues taught this year include: Initiative, Respect, Uniqueness and Peace. Studying God's Word and learning to talk with Jesus gives us the power to take initiative, show respect, understand our uniqueness and offer peace to others. Our experienced team of staff and volunteers model Christ's love and help children know, love and share the Lord.
Parents will want to purchase the monthly Family Virtue Packs. This take-home material matches the content your kids are receiving on Sunday mornings. You'll get the Bible stories for Bed Time, lessons on the virtue for Meal Time and a CD with music and stories related to the virtue for Drive Time. All material is to be used weekly(except the CD) - so its a great tool for Sunday night family devotions. Check out a sample.
